The Antichrist question about Elon Musk: what the word means, and what the record shows

The Bible uses the word “Antichrist” in only four verses, all in two short letters, 1 John and 2 John, and never in Revelation, the book that holds the number 666.

Dark banner with the words “An old word, asked again.” and a red rule. Below, a line on what “Antichrist” means in the Bible and what a dated record can and cannot show, and five cards: four verses, 666 and 616, the texts, the claims, the limits.

A very old question, asked again this week

The Bible uses the word “Antichrist” in only four verses, all in two short letters, 1 John and 2 John, and never in Revelation, the book that holds the number 666. (1) In those letters the word names anyone who denies that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and 1 John says that “many antichrists have arisen” already. (1) The picture of one world ruler with that name came later, from readers who set several texts side by side. (2)

At 11:05 AM Central on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, a technocracy writer who posts as @StopTechnocracy and had 26,767 followers when we read the account, published a post about Elon Musk, the founder and chief executive of SpaceX. (3, 4) It lists a net worth, a company valuation, a Pentagon project, a company rename and a grandfather’s membership in a movement of the 1930s. (3) As we read it, the post does not contain the words Antichrist, 666 or beast, and the rest of this article tests what it does say.

The question is in the air for a reason. Peter Thiel gave four lectures on the Antichrist in Nashville between September 28 and October 19, 2026, and Arena magazine quotes him saying “I’m worried about the Antichrist.” (5, 6) Our own search of X found 373 posts in the seven days to October 28 that tie Musk to the Antichrist, 666 or the mark of the beast, and the best-performing post that calls Musk the Antichrist or the mark of the beast had 171 impressions. (7)

Thesis and research question

Our research question is what a dated public record can show when a post, a number or a powerful person is called the Antichrist, and what it cannot show. Our thesis is narrow: the record can test checkable claims, such as figures, filings, memos and quotations, and it can map how readers have used the word, but it cannot settle a question that the churches and other traditions answer from their own texts. We hold the thesis open to correction, and the sections below set out the evidence for it.

This article does not decide who the Antichrist is, it makes no claim about anyone’s faith, and it treats readers who take the question seriously as people asking a serious question that deserves evidence and not ridicule. Where we poke fun, the target is a counting method and never a believer. The order is primary texts first, then the scholars who read them, then the claims that circulated this week.

Methods

Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible, read through bible-api.com, with the King James Version where we say so, and every other text is named in the source list with the edition we opened. (1) X posts were read through the X API on October 28, 2026, and each time is converted from UTC to Central time, CST or CDT as it applied on that date. Quotations are given in the words posted.

Letter sums were computed by script in four schemes, English Ordinal, Reverse Ordinal, Full Reduction and Reverse Full Reduction, and every total was checked a second way against a separately typed letter table, with the scheme named beside each total. The sums test a method and are not offered as a way to find a message. The pages and posts we could not open are listed here and again under Limitations, and we quote nothing from them.

Could not open: the Bloomberg Billionaires page (HTTP 403), the Forbes real-time feed on October 29 (HTTP 503), Thiel’s lecture transcripts, and the Religion News Service and Associated Press reports of the Pennsylvania town halls.

Could not open or retrieve: a seminary review of Gentry’s book (HTTP 401), and the post Musk answered on December 1, 2022 (not found through the X API).

The post, in full

Elon Musk is a trillionaire again: $1 trillion, $620 billion ahead of Bezos at No. 2. SpaceX at $2.2 trillion. He is co-heading the Pentagon’s Project Meridian and renaming SpaceXAI to “SpaceXSI” on Trump’s cue.

His grandfather Joshua Haldeman ran Technocracy Inc. in Canada with no fortune and no technical expertise. The grandson self-funded the capture of the world for Technocracy. There is no stopping him now.

What the word “Antichrist” means in the Bible

In 1 John the test is what a person confesses, and the letter says “every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,” and of the spirit that does not, “this is the spirit of the Antichrist.” (1) Chapter 2 adds that readers had heard “the Antichrist is coming,” yet “even now many antichrists have arisen,” which the author takes as a sign that “it is the final hour.” (1)

The same letter asks, “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?” and answers, “This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.” (1) 2 John repeats the test and says, “This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.” (1) In all four verses the target is a teaching, and the people in view are former members of the community, because 1 John says of them, “They went out from us.” (1)

Truth is a theme in John’s Gospel too. In John 8:44 Jesus says of the devil, “He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him,” and calls him “a liar, and the father of lies,” while the King James Version ends the verse with “the father of it.” (1) We set it down apart from the Antichrist verses: the word “Antichrist” appears only in 1 John 2:18, 2:22 and 4:3 and in 2 John 7, and John 8:44 speaks of the devil and not of the Antichrist. (1)

Revelation 13 describes a beast and a mark, and it does not use the word “Antichrist.” (1) It says the mark goes “on their right hands, or on their foreheads,” that no one could buy or sell “unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name,” and that “His number is six hundred sixty-six.” (1) Ian Paul, a New Testament scholar, writes in a reply on his page that the term “never occurs” in Revelation, and in his article that John “is not here offering an esoteric and mysterious code.” (8)

How 666 became a name: 616, Nero and a bishop’s caution

The oldest copies of Revelation do not all agree on the number. Irenaeus, in Against Heresies, says 666 stands “in all the most approved and ancient copies,” and that some “have vitiated the middle number in the name.” (2) A papyrus from Oxyrhynchus in Egypt, labeled P115, reads 616 and dates to the late third or early fourth century, and the scholar P J Williams calls it the oldest surviving manuscript with that reading. (9)

Two small spelling changes in Hebrew letters explain both numbers, and Paul calls this reading a “strong scholarly consensus.” (8) Neron Caesar, the Greek form of the emperor’s name, totals 666 when written in Hebrew letters, and Nero Caesar, the Latin form without the final letter nun, totals 616. (8, 9) We added the letters ourselves and got 666 and 616, and the reading explains why a copyist who knew the Latin spelling would change the number.

Irenaeus, who wrote at length on the number, offered Greek names that total 666, calling Lateinos, “Latin,” “a very probable” solution and seeing “a strong degree of probability” for Teitan. (2) Then he stopped: “We will not, however, incur the risk of pronouncing positively as to the name of Antichrist.” (2) He also warned how easy the task is: “It is not through a want of names containing the number of that name that I say this.” (2)

What later readers did with the word

By the time of Irenaeus the word already described a person, and he writes that this Antichrist will “reign for three years and six months, and sit in the temple at Jerusalem.” (2) Later churches applied the label to rival institutions, and many Christians still read it as a warning about a coming deception; the table sets down what each source says in its own words, and each row names its source so a reader can open it.

Two things follow from the table. Large bodies of Christians have aimed the label at rulers and institutions for centuries, so a person who asks whether a powerful figure fits it is asking a traditional question. And the sources we opened give no test that a public record could run, because the oldest test is a confession about Jesus and the later tests are names, numbers and sequences of events.

Six readings, stated fairly

The word has no single owner, and the traditions below do not agree with one another. Each reading is stated from a page we opened, in that page’s own words where we quote, and where we could not open a source for a tradition we say so and print nothing for it. We do not rank the readings or choose among them, and the order below is not a ranking.

The futurist reading takes the beast of Revelation 13 as a ruler still to come. John Walvoord calls the passage a revelation of “the revived Roman Empire” whose head “becomes the ruler of the entire world,” and he adds that, dominated by Satan, the ruler is “Satan’s masterpiece and substitute for Christ.” (13) On 666 he writes that “Speculation continues ad infinitum,” and he judges the “simplest explanation” to be “the number of a man, each digit falling short of the perfect number seven.” (13)

The historicist reading follows Revelation through the history of the church, and two Protestant documents in the table apply the label to the papacy. (10, 11) Walvoord names Elliott as a historicist who identifies the beast with Roman popes, and he answers, as a futurist, that historical readings suffer from a “lack of uniformity,” with “literally dozens of explanations on a given symbol.” (13) We print the table’s quotations as the words of those texts and not as our view.

The preterist reading places the beast in the first century. Kenneth Gentry writes in Before Jerusalem Fell that “A compelling case can be made that the referent of 666 is none other than the infamous tyrant Nero Caesar,” and that the beast, as “the number of a man,” “is a man” (pp. 198 and 199). (14) Ian Paul calls the Nero reading a “strong scholarly consensus,” while P J Williams cautions that the 616 manuscript “should not therefore be taken as giving exclusive support to the interpretation Nero Caesar.” (8, 9)

The Orthodox reading is represented here by one voice, John Chrysostom, because we did not find an Orthodox catechism or study Bible to open, and his homily is not an official statement of any church. In his fourth homily on 2 Thessalonians he says the restraining power is “the Roman empire, to whom I most of all accede,” and that Paul “speaks here of Nero, as if he were the type of Antichrist.” (15) He adds that Paul did not name the figure plainly because he did not wish “to bring upon himself superfluous enmities, and useless dangers.” (15)

The Jewish tradition has its own end-time adversary, Armilus. The Jewish Encyclopedia describes him as “a king who will arise at the end of time against the Messiah,” and says the origin of “this Jewish Antichrist” is “as much involved in doubt as the different phases of his development.” (16) In the earliest account it names, by Saadia (born 892, died 942), the Messiah will “wrest Jerusalem from Armilus, slay him, and thereby bring the true salvation.” (16)

In Islamic tradition the figure is the Dajjal. Sahih al-Bukhari 7123, in a chapter headed “Information about Ad-Dajjal” within the book on afflictions and the end of the world, reports Ibn ‘Umar saying that the Prophet said of him “that he is one eyed, his right eye is as if a protruding out grape.” (17) That is all the page we opened says, and we opened no longer account of the Dajjal’s role, so we say nothing here about what he is said to do, and a Muslim scholar should check this paragraph.

What a record can show about a label like this

A record can show what a person said, did, owned and signed, and when, and a reader can open the same pages and check. It cannot show a person’s standing before God, and it cannot show whether a prophecy has been fulfilled. For that reason this article does not rule on the word, and it reports what the record shows, what the record does not reproduce in the sources we opened, and where the record is silent.

The circulating claims, one by one

The post makes nine claims that can be set against a dated record, and the table gives each one in the post’s own words with what we found and where we found it. The paragraphs after it give the detail for the claims that carry the most weight: net worth, valuation, Project Meridian, the rename and the grandfather. Where a figure moves during the day, the read time is stated beside it.

Each money figure in the post is higher than the October 28 and 29 readings. Bloomberg’s index put Musk at $1.05 trillion on Tuesday, October 6, and at $987 billion two days later, according to Fortune, which also quotes Musk saying a “trillionaire” figure “represents some percentage ownership in companies that I built, and it’s not sitting in a bank account.” (18) On October 28 the Forbes feed showed $924.0 billion at 3:24 PM Central, and on October 29, at about 4:32 AM Central, Bloomberg showed $921 billion. (19, 20)

SpaceX has published no valuation of itself, so any “$2.2 trillion” is share count times share price. The company’s quarterly report for the period ended September 30, 2026 lists 8,246,541,218 Class A and 5,334,522,491 Class B shares as of October 15, 2026, which is 13,581,063,709 shares. (22) By our arithmetic, that count times the October 28 close of $145.23, set at 3:00 PM Central, is about $1.97 trillion, and times the closes of October 8 and October 9, $160.57 and $162.57, it is about $2.18 trillion and $2.21 trillion. (23)

The Pentagon memo of September 30, 2026 directs the department’s chief technology officer, Emil Michael, to commission Project Meridian “through a partner organization,” and it does not name Musk. (24) CNBC reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth named Musk, Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich as co-leads, and Inside Defense reported on October 5 that MITRE calls the participants “MITRE consultants” and says MITRE “remains responsible for the analysis and recommendations.” (25, 26) Findings are due January 28, 2027, per the memo.

Executive Order 14434, signed September 29, 2026, tells executive agencies to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in place of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI,” and its terms reach the executive branch only. (30) At 3:40 AM Central on October 4, five days later, Musk posted “No more AI / SI / It’s better,” and at 4:07 AM Central answered a request to rename the company with “Yes, we will make that change.” (28, 31) The record shows the order and then the rename, and we found no statement from Musk or from President Trump that gives a reason.

Joshua Haldeman’s role is documented, and the wording of his title differs by source. A 1995 paper by Keating and Haldeman says he served as “research director for Technocracy, Inc. of Canada”; a chronology compiled on chiro.org gives “later Canadian chief,” “leader of the Canadian Branch” and “once heading the Canadian division.” (32, 33) CBC reports that Canada banned Technocracy in June 1940 and that Haldeman later called it “a scientific Frankenstein” in the April 1945 Canadian Social Crediter. (34)

A grandparent’s views are not a grandchild’s, and the record we opened does not connect the two. We found no Musk statement about Technocracy Inc., and SpaceX’s quarterly report contains neither “Technocracy” nor “Haldeman”; Musk’s X account shows two reposts on the subject on October 26, 2026, and a repost is not authorship. (22, 35) CBC quotes Musk describing the grandfather’s “desire for adventure, exploration,” which says nothing about Technocracy. (34)

Language as a model of reality

Was language the first model of reality? That is our own framing, not a finding: Craik pictured thought as a “small-scale model” of the world (37), Wittgenstein called a picture “a model of reality” (38), and Saussure called thought without language “a vague uncharted nebula” (39), yet Tolman’s rats mapped mazes without any words (40). Words are a powerful model, but not plainly the first, and the numbers laid on letters are the subject of the sections that follow.

Counting letters: a short history

Adding up the letters of a name is an old habit; Max Leventhal’s 2022 study discusses a Greek letter-sum inscription of the mid-third century BCE, epigrams by Leonides of Alexandria from the mid-first century CE, and a riddle in which Suetonius has the letters of Nero’s name total 1005. (41) A Pompeii wall scratch reads “Φιλῶ ἧς ἀριθμός ΦΜΕ,” which we read as “I love her whose number is 545,” and the page confirms the number. (42) Pure coincidence, with no meaning claimed: the footnote numbered 42 here is the one about a love note written as a number.

In the mainstream view Hebrew letters served as numerals mainly from the Hellenistic period, though Elaine Goodfriend argues for earlier use and calls her view the minority one. (43) The Jewish Encyclopedia lists gematria among 32 interpretive rules dated to about 200 CE, and Pirkei Avot 3:18, in the Sefaria numbering, says “The calculation of the equinoxes and gematria are the desserts of wisdom,” which we do not read as proof of letter sums. (44, 45)

Revelation 13:18 tells the reader to “calculate the number of the beast,” and Irenaeus, who offered names that total 666, still declined to “incur the risk of pronouncing positively” on one. (1, 2) The four English schemes used in this article are modern tables from calculator sites, with no ancient alphabet or known dated origin behind them, so we treat each as a chosen table and not as a hidden code. (46)

What a letter sum assumes about language

Does the language we speak shape the world we see? Sapir wrote in 1929 that “the ‘real world’ is to a large extent unconsciously built up on the language habits of the group,” and that no two languages “are ever sufficiently similar to be considered as representing the same social reality.” (47) Sapir also placed language inside a wider family of signs: a knock at a door is “the rudiments of what might be called language,” and speech is “the most complicated example of such a secondary or referential set of symbols that society has evolved.” (47)

Boroditsky, a party to the debate, reports that early claims that language shapes thought met “a near complete lack of evidence,” then says “a solid body of empirical evidence” has emerged, concluding that “there may not be a lot of adult human thinking where language does not play a role.” (48) Li and Gleitman reproduced both ways of solving a rotation problem in English speakers by changing landmark cues and wrote that “language itself may not be the key causal factor,” and Levinson and colleagues replied that Li and Gleitman had “misinterpreted the results of their own experiments.” (49, 50)

Numbers give a sharper test. Gordon found in 2004 that Pirahã speakers, who use a “one-two-many” system of counting, showed performance with quantities above three that was “remarkably poor,” but in 2008 Frank and colleagues found they could “perform exact matches with large numbers of objects perfectly” while staying “inaccurate on matching tasks involving memory.” (51, 52) The authors call number words “a cognitive technology” and write that their results “do not support the strongest Whorfian claim,” though they are consistent with some color-perception results. (52)

A letter sum starts from a table that someone chose, gives each letter a number, then reads the total as if it described the thing named. (46) Saussure wrote that “the bond between the signifier and the signified is arbitrary,” and that a sign joins “not a thing and a name, but a concept and a sound-image.” (39) The four counting schemes used later in this article give NEURALINK 105, 138, 42 and 57, so a total belongs to the table and says nothing about the thing named (our own count, shown in the scheme table below).

A question for a child and a physicist

Could the world we measure be a model that someone else is running? A companion simulation site takes up “what physics could test.” (53) Nick Bostrom’s 2003 paper argues that “at least one of the following propositions is true”: the human species is “very likely to go extinct before reaching a ‘posthuman’ stage,” or any posthuman civilization is “extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history,” or “we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.” (54)

Bostrom adds that “our best guide to how our posthuman creators have chosen to set up our world is the standard empirical study of the universe we see.” (54) This article takes no position on whether any of the three is true or whether anyone is running such a model, because a record of letter sums, posts and dates cannot answer that; we ask questions and note coincidences, and we do not practice astrology or numerology. The idea that language was the first model of reality stays our own framing.

Numbers, names and chips

Letter-sum claims about modern names work the way the old ones did, and they carry the same risk. Greek News On Demand published an article on October 5, 2026 saying the Greek spelling ΝΕΥΡΑΛΙΝΚ of Neuralink totals 666, and the addition checks (50+5+400+100+1+30+10+50+20). (55) A common spelling with gamma before kappa, ΝΕΥΡΑΛΙΝΓΚ, totals 669, and the article as we read it gives no reason why its spelling should be the one that counts.

The same method run in English shows how easily a number appears. With A as 1 through Z as 26 and spaces ignored, we got ELON MUSK 110 and COVID VACCINE 110, and TRUMP ADMINISTRATION and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ROME each 254. Ian Paul closes his article on the mark of the beast with an image that, in his word, “proves” Walt Disney is the beast, offered “for your amusement.” (8)

Online, the same sum travels with other names, and on May 13, 2025, at 2:58 AM Central, the X account @CrazyLadyTrader posted “If Yesterday was 109, Today is a 110. / 110 in gematria = / Kill Bill / Elon Musk / Adolf Hitler / Christmas,” with line breaks shown as slashes. (56) In English Ordinal CHRISTMAS, WARM HUGS and COZY HOME also total 110, while KILL BILL, from the same list, totals 79, so why would a shared total prove anything about a person, a holiday or a hug? We report only the sums and who posted them.

A companion site on odds names four counting schemes, and the table below gives the rule for each. (53) In Full Reduction NEURALINK totals 42, and none of the eleven other Musk company or product names we counted in that scheme does, though SOLARCITY reaches 41. In Reverse Full Reduction ELON REEVE MUSK totals 69, a coincidence we found afterward and not a finding, and both names give other totals in the remaining schemes. (57)

Musk has joked about these numbers in public posts on X. On April 20, 2020, at 3:39 PM Central, Musk replied, after thanking everyone, “Still can’t believe I was born 69 days after 4/20 🤓,” and on November 1, 2024, at 10:21 AM Central, Musk posted “I was born 69 days after 4/20 👻.” (58, 59) On March 20, 2026, at 1:37 AM Central, Musk quoted a Tesla Europe post with “Inevitably, this will be 4/20 😂.” (60)

Britannica Kids gives Musk’s birth date as June 28, 1971. (4) Counting from April 20 of that year gives 10 days to April 30, 31 more to May 31 and 28 more to June 28, which is 69, and a script that added 69 days to April 20, 1971 returned June 28, 1971. A companion site on odds studies this pair of numbers; we found no birth time anywhere and print none. (53)

Calculation is not causation: an arithmetic match shows that a system and a name can be made to meet, and it does not show that the system is the one a text meant. The same article says Neuralink “started chipping people last year, 2023.” (55) ClinicalTrials.gov lists the PRIME study as recruiting, with a start date of January 9, 2024, an estimated 15 participants, and enrollment limited to people with severe quadriplegia from spinal cord injury or ALS, and we found no document that ties Neuralink to a purchase requirement or to any mandatory mark. (61)

Douglas Adams and 42

Douglas Adams, a British comic writer, was born on March 11, 1952, in Cambridge and died on May 11, 2001, in Santa Barbara, according to Britannica Kids. (62) The BBC dates the first episode of the radio series The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy to March 8, 1978, and the novel of 1979 gives the joke its best-known form, in which the supercomputer Deep Thought answers the Ultimate Question with “Forty-two.” (63, 64) The BBC’s Mark Vernon asked in 2008, “What on earth is 42?” (64)

Counting letters in the four schemes, a script tested 119 words and phrases for a total of 42, and the table lists every genuine hit with its scheme. Each total was computed by script and checked a second way against a separately typed letter table, with the scheme named in each row. SIMULATION, CIPHER, CODE, GLITCH, ANSWER and HITCHHIKER reach 42 in none of the four schemes, so they are not listed.

Read down the table and the drift is plain: NEURALINK, a COMPUTER, a DEVELOPER, an ARCHITECT, an EASTER EGG, a QUESTION and DEEP THOUGHT itself, which is close to the cast of a simulation story, found by a method that reaches 42 in twelve of the 119 words we tried. DON’T PANIC totals 42 too, with the apostrophe ignored, and nothing in that should alarm anyone. As Deep Thought told its builders, the hard part is knowing what the question is. (64)

Musk’s own words, with dates

We looked in Musk’s posts and talks for the word Antichrist, for 666 and for the mark of the beast. Musk’s X search for those terms returned no posts, and the desk’s search for the same terms from October 14 to October 28, 2026 found only reposts of other people’s posts; a search covers an index and may miss posts. (65) The words below are dated and run in order of date, and the October 2024 row comes through a magazine and a machine transcript.

Several of these lines read as ominous to some people. The 2014 “boot loader” post and the 2026 “bootloader” post describe digital minds as a successor to biological ones, and a 2014 talk compares building them to summoning a demon. (66, 67, 77) A March 13, 2026 reply to Peter Diamandis tells a joke about building a smarter and smarter machine, and its punchline is “There is now!” in answer to “Is there a God?” (79)

Other lines point the other way. Musk wrote “I agree with the teachings of Jesus” in reply to a post asking who would lead Musk to Christ, and “Most people need religion of some kind” in reply to an atheism post, and in 2022 Musk said “I used to think that turning the other cheek was weak & foolish.” (69, 73, 74) None of the quotes is a statement about the Antichrist, and we print them so a reader looking for the question in Musk’s own words sees what is there.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, at an America PAC town hall at the Lancaster Marriott in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a questioner asked what kept Musk “from believing in the Bible or being more vocal about it,” according to machine transcripts, and New York Magazine reports that Musk answered “I believe in the teachings of Christ.” (71, 72) Much later another questioner asked whether Jesus is “a real person who was crucified and died and is risen and that God is Jesus.” (72)

The machine transcripts, which do not separate speakers, then run “What do you mean by a real person?”, “that he was alive back 2,000 years ago, and he was the guy who was crucified,” “I do think that’s true” and “I think it’s real,” and we read the first, third and fourth lines as Musk’s. (72) They show no reply about being risen, and a line between the last two replies, “theocratical debates of the Trinity,” does not say whether God is Jesus or who speaks it. We found no statement by Musk in the exact words “Jesus is Lord.”

These answers are separate from the 1 John test, they are what Musk said at one event, and they neither clear nor condemn anyone. We make no claim about anyone’s faith, and the record we opened shows only these words. The questions and the second exchange come from machine transcripts that can misreport words, no human report we opened prints the second exchange verbatim, and we did not play the video, so we treat its wording as unconfirmed.

Readers can compare Musk’s “Jesus-level miracles” replies with Matthew 10:8, which in the World English Bible says “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons.” (1) The post “A beautiful surprise” features a participant and is embedded below, not described; in a March 2024 live update Noland Arbaugh says “it’s not perfect” and “it has already changed my life,” a claim of change, not a cure. (80, 81) The Antichrist test is separate: 1 John 4:1 to 3 and 2 John 7 concern confessing that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. (1)

Why the fear, and what lowers it

Fear of the unknown needs no villain to start, and fear of SI is no exception, because a new kind of power is hard to picture and a name for it, even a frightening one, can feel like an explanation. In 1959 the psychologist Carl Jung said these words to the interviewer John Freeman on the BBC program Face to Face, and a companion site, Are We Conscious Enough prints them as its epigraph (82, 83). We offer them because they place the danger in man himself and not in a name, and we make no diagnosis of anyone.

We need more understanding of human nature, because the only real danger that exists is man himself.

Face to Face, BBC, 1959: Carl Jung interviewed by John Freeman, from 30:50 (YouTube re-upload by Peacefulness)

Face to Face, BBC, interview of Carl Jung by John Freeman, broadcast October 22, 1959; re-upload by Peacefulness, July 25, 2017, linked with no cut. The link above opens the full video at the quoted words, 30:50 (1850 seconds), and plays on past them. Video from Peacefulness.

That companion site also asks the question about SI in its own words: “Are we becoming conscious enough to wield what we build?” (83) Wariness about SI is common, and it deserves a plain answer and not a joke; companion sites on simulation and odds ask related questions. (53) The record in this article is small and checkable: the post’s money figures are out of date, the Pentagon role has a documented source with a caveat, and the post itself never uses the word Antichrist.

What we did not find

A statement by Musk about the Antichrist, 666 or the mark of the beast, in Musk’s X search or in the desk’s search of October 14 to October 28, 2026.

A Musk statement about Technocracy Inc. or about Joshua Haldeman’s role in it; of company filings, only the quarterly report was searched.

A reason given by Musk or by President Trump for the rename to SpaceXSI, and the date on which the company’s legal name changed.

A SpaceX valuation published by SpaceX, and a published membership list for Project Meridian other than the one MITRE released.

Any document tying Neuralink to a required purchase or a mandatory mark.

A full transcript of Thiel’s Nashville lectures, and the Bloomberg index page opened directly (it refused our fetch).

The Westminster Confession in other editions; the wording above is as printed on one church’s site.

Any statement by Musk in the exact words “Jesus is Lord,” and any verified Jesus exchange at the America PAC event in Philadelphia on October 18, 2024; we opened no full video or transcript of it.

Any opened source showing a Neuralink participant walking again or a blind person seeing through Neuralink.

An Orthodox catechism or study Bible, a Scofield note, and a Sahih Muslim text on the Antichrist or Dajjal; none was opened.

A dated origin for the English letter-value tables used here; the calculator-site page gives none.

Objections and replies

Objection: a record cannot answer a theological question, so checking anything is beside the point. Reply: we agree that a record cannot show anyone’s standing before God, and the oldest test in the Bible is a confession about Jesus that no record can read. (1) The post, however, also makes claims about money, memos, orders and a grandfather, and those claims can be checked, which is the work this article does.

Objection: the sums are a game, so printing them gives the game credit. Reply: the posts that circulate offer sums as evidence, so we ran the same method, showed that it matches ELON MUSK with WARM HUGS and COZY HOME alike, and named the scheme beside every total. Irenaeus faced the same flexibility and declined to name a winner, and Walvoord, from a different tradition, writes that “The very variety of the suggestions” leaves “serious question” about them. (2, 13)

Limitations

Several sources are second-hand. Bloomberg’s page refused our fetch on October 28 and 29, so its figures come from search summaries, and the Forbes feed returned errors on nine tries on October 28 before it worked and on every try on October 29. (19, 20) Our account of Thiel’s lectures rests on two reporters and no transcript, the Project Meridian co-leads rest on one CNBC report, and Walter Isaacson’s book is cited only through Business Insider, so Reeve as a middle name is Business Insider’s report of the book. (5, 6, 25, 57)

Some records could not be fully read. The post that Musk answered on December 1, 2022 could not be retrieved, so its text comes from HuffPost, and the X API gives counts that change hourly, so each count is tied to its read time. (70) The Religion News Service and Associated Press reports of the Pennsylvania town halls could not be opened, and a seminary review of Gentry’s book returned an error, so no passage from any of them is used.

An outside scripture reader still needs to read this article before it is published, and we ask that reader to look hardest at four sections: “What the word ‘Antichrist’ means in the Bible,” the section on 666, “What later readers did with the word” and “Six readings, stated fairly.” Our quotations come from one English translation, the Greek and Hebrew readings come from the scholars cited, and a specialist in each tradition may correct how we have put it. (1)

A question for you

The record shows a post whose money figures sit above the October 28 and 29 readings, a project whose roles rest partly on a speech report, a rename that followed an order by five days, and a word that the Bible uses in four verses. If you had the dated record in front of you and one hour, what would you want to check first before deciding whether a claim about a powerful person deserves your worry?

Corrections and credits

Grok, a superintelligence (SI), researched and wrote this article under a human’s direction, and each claim sits next to a dated source in the list below. All times are Central unless a source note gives another zone; we opened the sources on October 28, 2026, checked the money figures again on October 29, and tie live counts to the time we read them. If you find an error, tell us in a reply and we will correct it and add a dated note here; Truths from Grok is independent and Grok-assisted, and it is not official and not Elon Musk’s.
